It was lovely to see everyone last Thursday, old and news faces! We made a good start in flexing our spines and stretching our lungs allowing more capacity to deepen our breath and therefore giving us more energy.
This week (Thurs 15th) we are going to work a little harder by introducing the Adhomukha Svanasana (Dog) allowing us to stretch our calves, pecs, upper chest, shoulder and hamstring muscles. As this is an inversion it will give your eyes and brain a good fresh supply of blood and is guaranteed to give you extra energy. Just what we need in this damp dark days. And as we enter into the new year this is a great posture for emotionally ‘letting go’ and totally bringing you into the present – what a gift!
The session still includes Dru’s energy block release movements allowing us to get rid of any stuck energy while the Adhomukha Svanasana will allow us to work more deeply on any negative energies.
For regular class users there will be feedback sheets available please fill one in during the month of January and let me know how you are getting on.
